This was left on our dock, it looks kind of surreal standing there like that. The bar going across her front is a towel rack. And speaking of towels, remember Towelie? I loved Towelie.
While i was out there on the dock, one of my neighbors came out to axe if R and I might consider participating in this year's Floating Homes tour.
I told him my first inclination was to
just say no thank u, but that I'd talk about it with R. I cant see us participating tho. It involves hundreds of ppl walking thru your house all day. See what i'm sayin'? Ppl love taking the tour, and A and R actually bought tickets one year but there were long lines to get into some of the boats and it was such a crowded event we bailed after a few minutes. A lot of wine drankin' goes on, and boat owners bring out oeur d'ouevres for the ppl waiting in line. It's a very sociable thing.
No tour or shows or anything...2 busy getting ready for tomorrow's virgin houseboat visit from Bruce Anderson.

the color purple

Houseboat dwellers love the color purple. My neighbor Pat has a pair of tight-fitting purple leather gloves that r pretty hot, and her dog's leash is also purple. I like this purple boat, and its address...#17. On EastWest dock there's a big wooden pelican painted purple.

And speaking of artists, watch this space for new and completely beautiful paintings by former MX80 drummer Kevin Teare. This is R's camera after he fished it out of the bay yesterday. It had fallen out of his pocket last week as he was getting out of his precious kayak, and yesterday's very low tide allowed him to actually see it in the mud. Of course R tried to make it work again, but no go diggy die.
The staff at NON TOUR is happy 2 report that North Fork Sound has an exclusive on the new ACC project. U can hear it ONLY at Nofo this week. And, no 'Rule 100' was needed! Thanx Nofo!!!

Hello. Well, had to postpone Bruce's virgin visit to the houseboat again this week, which meant eating his portion of the grilled portobello mushrooms and white button mushrooms, and toasted olive bread from Phoenix with goat cheese. And speaking of white button mushrooms, somehow the cork that goes in the bottle of olive oil ended up on my plate and i thought it was a white button mushroom and almost popped it in my mouth. Put a cork in it. Hey! Who said that? I heard that!

Finally received the ACC master yo! And so, around April 23rd the newest ACC project will b unleashed, or dropped, or whatever is the new way to say it. Also finished is the project's first video, which turned out so trippy and strange. Also finished is R's newest 'young adult' novel. Also finished is my left hand from crocheting 2 much.
The hb was spozed 2 get a visit from Bruce Anderson 2day, but it's windy and the boat is moving around more than a guest may b comfortable with. So see u next week, Bruiser!

My big 75th birthday bash began here.
Black bean soup so smooth and silky, and totally homemade drinks on ice: ginger juice with sugar and a lime slice, and pink grapefruit with carbonated water. The drinks r made fresh-to-order.

Went to FISH last night for Adam's special dinner featuring 4 courses and four different beers. This little jar of reddish-color Belgian beer is made from raspberries and was delish paired with the dessert cheesecake that had a caramel sauce and coarse salt on top. I failed to mention to R when i got home that i had eaten the giant-sized slice of cheesecake. I suppose i could have brought home half of it for him. Instead, i thought of the Tone Loc lyric, "he thought we was sharin', i ate it all myself."
