back in pizzizzmo bizznitch

Back in Pismo Beach for final nite of working vacay. (Well, one of us worked and the other one vacayed.)
They say that into each life a little rain must fall but why did my new pedometer have to fall in the toilet in the bathroom at the gas station?  When i came out and told R what had just happened, he, for some inexplicable reason, thought i said that the dental surgery mouthpiece i've been wearing for 3 weeks was the thing that fell in. Let's just say things got pretty crazy with me talking about the pedometer and R thinking i was talking about the mouthpiece and it all ended with R laughing so hard he had to lean on a telephone pole.
The sidewalks in Pismo have been treated with a smelly dark red sealant of some kind. As u stroll along, instead of the smell of the ocean breeze or cotton candy or pizza or popcorn, u smell varnish.   The finish is shiny which makes the sidewalk look wet and slippery.  It was apparently done to help "improve" sidewalk maintenance.   No good no bueno.  P.U.!

locals say "carp"

Uh oh. I could really get used to this socal lifestyle. It is unbelievably gorgeous in Carpinteria. They take the outdoors very seriously here, there r many parks, the beach is beautiful and clean, no trash anywhere, no smoking allowed anywhere, so no cigarette butts laying all over the ground and sidewalks.  Huge public outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, campgrounds.  Really sweet very tall palm trees and majestic mountains.
No wind,  and mostly flat, u can ride a bike or scoot all over the place. I brought my scoot with me, it's been really great zipping around. Zipped past these cottages just now, maybe will stay there the next time, half the tab picked up by R's employer lynda.com.
Well, that's all for now, time to scoot back to Beach Bowl for my 3rd wellness shot of the day.  These shots make me feel like barking!  They r stiff!  And u know what "they" say.

pismo beach is a party town

People ride bikes barefoot while eating ice cream cones, head for the beach on their bikes with beach chairs strapped to their backs, it's all so very super-casual. Lots of places to get caramel apples and salt water taffy, more than several tattoo/piercing salons. Adult-sized swings at the beach!

greetings from pismo beach

Took a drive down the coast, stopped in Pismo Beach for the night. Hotel room with a balcony right on the beach, the surf is so loud! Dis be my happy place.
And eating up a storm after the 2 weeks of mashed potatoes, smoothies and chocolate mousse, butternut squash soup.  Culinary tip:  Pureed broccoli is not a good idea.
OK, next stop: Carpenteria, home of LYNDA.COM where RWS will be filmed presenting his second in a series of music law tutorials.  He's on a roll.

is it friday yet?

That's when i can eat solid food again, if all goes well at the dentist's office.  Excellent weight loss plan tho, weighed in at 107 pounds this morning.  Everything reminds me of food.  Like yesterday, walked by a Wells Fargo bank, the logo made me think of a giant bag of  Fritos corn chips.  Later that night, in my mind's eye i kept seeing the sandwich a guy was eating at an outdoor cafe.  Cant wait to go here, here, here and here.

open maximum

Making a mental list of foods to enjoy after current dental process is semi-finished on January 23rd.
"Open maximum" is what Dr. Stroumza says when he wants u to really open your mouth.
One week down, one to go eating only blended soups, applesauce and vegetable purees.
Tomorrow's dinner:  mashed potatoes, chiogga beet puree.

Is that a giant rose-hips bush?  It's at least 10-12 feet tall. Whenever i go past it i like to recall the alternate lyrics Mark Bingham would sing to that country song about "put your sweet lips a little closer to the phone"---he would sing "Put your rose hips a little closer to my bone."
Anyway,  still no tour or shows or anything...2busy with the usual Monday activity.
