what the pel?

A certain someone (initial 'R') was talking in his sleep like a puppetmaster last nite after watching  Dark Shadows. His voice sounded theatrical and somewhat disembodied as he did all the voices of the characters in his dreams. Here's a sample:

Voice 1: You wanted it.
Voice 2: Yes, well...

 It was spooky and hilarious.

and down for you is up

Hello. It's not a good idea to kayak underneath the docks, but it sure is fun to go down there to get that unique perspective. Not a good idea because there r ropes and cables and lines under the docks that could be accidentally pulled out (hate when that happens. -Ed.) by a clueless paddler.
Heard a live version of Pale Blue Eyes at a cafe the other day, it was the most beautiful sound. The cafe was crowded and noisy, but still, the chords, the tambourine and the general feeling of the song came thru so clearly.  Touching gtr solo, and it's gotta be the best love song evah:

"It was good what we did yesterday
and i'd do it once again
the fact that u r married only proves you're my best friend
but it's truly truly a sin
   linger on..."

No tour or shows or anything...2busy giving myself a seizure.

slip

Spent too long on the interwebs last night, finally closed up my lappie and meant to say to R "We've got our own life to lead" but instead, slipped and said "We've got our own life to leave." Oops.

in my sailor's suit and cap

Today is Friday which means 3 hours of fun listening to the PURE show on WPKN. I really liked Sophie Madeline's song 'Stars'. It's so excellently recorded, so personal, it sounded like Sophie was here performing it live.
It makes me dizzy to think that the VU is having a 45th anniversary. But they are. So DJ Hoto   played a version of Heroin that gave me chills, almost like i really was rushing on my run, etc. Even if Heroin was an instrumental, it'd be hard to not be affected by it. The chords, the viola and drums add up to something i cant really describe that gets me every time.
And speaking of herriman, back in the old days ol' ACC was passing time in a swing seat at a playground, gently swinging back and forth,  and fell face-first into the dirt.  Fun times!
And speaking of Lou Reed, Kurt Gottschalk is suppozeably working on a new Lou Reed manifesto. If u remember, Kurt gave ol' ACC a great review of Louie Louie when it first came out.
Still no tour or shows or anything...2busy working on being more accommodating.

artwork by mister nancy

Mister has begun an exciting second career as a graphic artist. I love this painting she just finished. Untitled.  18x24 inches.
And here's the lil lady hersel' at this year's Burning Man, and at Easter-time  somewhere on tour last year.  And onstage with Fabulous Disaster.  (She's the blonde on the right.  What a little dish.)    Looks like maybe she's having a wardrobe malfunction in this picture.
Hey Mister, paint my wagon!

yes but where r the wheels

Two time-travel movies recently screened here at ye old NON TOUR:   (Dont let this clip scare u off seeing) SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED, Aubrey Plaza's performance makes it worth watching. What a face she has. Those eyes. Those lips. That hair.  Those legs.
And u might like SOUND OF MY VOICE. Brit Marling co-wrote and starred.
And speaking of time, Walter Isaacson's biography of Albert Einstein is very entertaining. Upon seeing his baby sister for the first time, young Albert's response was "Yes, but where are the wheels?"
