Back from Mendocino where it was Crushingly Quiet at the NON TOUR staff's accommodations in a wee clearing in a pygmy forest. No other houses, people, cars around. U realize u cant remember when u've been in a sound environment quite like it. U 4get what it's like, what it feels like. No noise... airplanes, sirens, helicopters, motorcycles, car alarms, beepbeepbeep of backing-up vehicles, construction, all replaced with...nothing. And it wasnt windy so no sound of wind in the trees. #Stillness.
