under the wheels of a car on canal street

And speaking of getting hooked, Kevin Teare is showing his gorgeous, colorful paintings at the Quogue Library this weekend (scroll down to REEL TO REEL).
In the 70s when Kevin was living on Canal and West Broadway in NYC he led me around to all the cool galleries in Soho. Fun! I think we saw Joseph Beuys in a cage. Did we? Some trippy Lamont Young thing, alot of Dan Flavins, a real hot&happening scene. It was still kind of rough, not fancy at all, like, u had to jump down to get out of the building because there werent always stairs;the entrances were more for truck-loading and unloading.
Still no tour or shows or anything...2busy wondering "is tonite the night i see your fuzzy wuzzy?"
