I'm not a baseball fan and totally not interested in baseball players but whoa how fucking cute is Sergio Romo? I got all caught up in the World Series the last few days, and now here i am surfing the interwebs for pix of Sergio instead of being outdoors in the Indian summershine.

Also watched a tiny bit of the post-game action in the Giants' locker room.  Gee i didnt know what a jizz-fest these celebrations r -- the team shaking champagne bottles then spraying the white foam all over each other.  But I guess they cant really do the real thing, at least not on national television.
And is Sergio somebody's babydaddy?  Even hotter!

Oh hi! It's you!  New Bose speaker-thing here at NON TOUR DIARY. Listened to Dean and Britta's 13 MOST BEAUTIFUL first. It sounded great, almost live. I know this is silly but i get embarrassed whenever Dean sings "put my hand inside your pants" in Teenage Lightning.
And just now listened to SLEEPWALKER by ACC. I'm hitting my own like button on this one. Turn it up loud yo.

Do i have a recommendation 4u or what:  Nina Conti's movie Her Master's Voice is terrific plus.
And the Parking Lot movie is also a must-see. The guys who work at the parking lot spray stencil messages on the wooden bar that goes up to let parkers out of the lot. My favorite stencil was LIKE I STILL CARE.COM.
They have a whole collection of these bars. There's even a bar with Elayne Boosler's name on it. See the movie and find out why. The guys r all really smart and come up with some great quotes; one of them plays bass in Yo La Tengo.

Here's Bruce Anderson recording a new MX-80 song at the NON TOUR DIARY studios (engineer  Rich Stim).
Bruce laid down some very emotional tracks;ACC was listening to him from upstairs and got all swept away in a big dark swirly thing overhead that seemed to be conjured up by Bruce's playing. When R and B came up to take a lunch break, A said that the lyrics R had written for the song didnt go with what Bruce had just played. And in his beautiful trademark deadpan, R says, "Uh huh. And do u have any ideas for album art?"  Ah gee, i wish u coulda been there.  Funnyfunnyfunnyfunnyfunny.
And speaking of girls butting in on band business, i am recommending the Tom Petty film made by Peter Bogdonavitch.  It's fantastic.  U wouldnt even have2 b a Tom Petty fan in order to enjoy the movie.  Some old home footage, lots of concert footage, great interviews,  and u find out that Stevie Nicks wanted to join the Heartbreakers in the worst way.

Been listening to Our Inner Ape and am reminded of something i heard Slow Peter say one day outside Java Beach. ("Slow" because of a bike accident he had when he was a kid). "My own relative, the chimpanzee".
Looking around the interwebs for an app that allows one to watch a sound file run along the bottom of the screen during the debate tonite, but havent come up with anything.  There's a fascinating section of De Waal's book that deals with the pitch of a speaker's voice and how the speaker does or doesnt change pitch depending on who, well, i wish u would read the book because i feel like i'm over-simplifying/under-explaining the pitch thing.
This just in: R is in the Berkeley office 2day, and reports that as he greets each co-worker, he feels just like a chimp.

Been listening to the Gregg Allman memoir.  I was never a fan but the book is enjoyable and Gregg seems like a good guy.
He sure has had alot of wives. Cher said he was the best boot-knocker ever but when Gregg tried to help her improve her singing she didnt want to hear about it, telling him that he was the only one in the whole world who didnt like her voice.  It's not that he didnt like it, he thought she could work on it sounding less contrived,  more like her speaking voice, which he loved hearing.
Anyway, googling around looking 4 pix of Duane and Gregg, i found this great shot of Bruce Anderson. Hey Bruiser!
