hey porter

I think HEY PORTER was the first johnny cash song i heard. Why bring this up now? b/c my amtrak trip is rite around the veritable corner. Loaded up my ipod with the Streets, Neutral Milk Hotel, Tone Loc, and shit, couldnt find my Coney Island Baby cd Don Ciccone gave me. It's here somewhere but i cant find it dammit.

Amtrak tip: bring your own food. I once peeked in at the kitchen on amtrak...it wasnt air-conditioned, and the kitchen employees were sweating like crazy. AND they looked disgruntled. Not good. Look at your amtrak travel as an opportunity to shed a few pounds. Couldnt hurt, right? And bring your own water...believe it or not, sometimes they run out. One thing they DONT run out of is alcohol...i think the amtrak travelers would turn murderous if that happened. Happy Hour starts at about 2:30-3:00 pm, and when it's announced, there is a mad stampede for the bar car. The good thing about that is, since everyone starts drinking so early, they pass out shortly after they've had their dinner, so it's pretty quiet the rest of the night.

ok, gotta go finish packing. bye yall. (Hi Rich!! love ya!) Posted by Picasa

Not sure what the tour was about;the drinks were really flowing and it was quite loud. At one point richard asked me " r u drunk?" Later i learned that he had actually said "r u driving?".

So, u know, no tour..2busy using my new Waterpik. Posted by Picasa

how green was my anny

Had a dynamite anniversary dinner at Greens: Fresh lemonade to begin; 3beet salad; another salad with pixie tangerines; non-dairy mushroom soup...holy shit it was good, not all white and creamy and yechy, but just perfectly mushroomy...dark brown. And the best dessert EVER...a rose geranium ice cream sandwich. The snadwich part was melt-in-your-mouth meringue. OMG. Can u picture it? Pale pink ice cream. I just noticed i typed SNADWICH instead of SANDWICH. I like snadwich better. We ordered one to share, but during my first bite, i wanted my own snadwich. So we ordered another one. Well, i guess that's all the excitement around here.

No tour or shows or anything...2busy digesting. Posted by Picasa

and we've got2get ourselves back2the garden

Is this the cutest lil gardener ever? It's Sasha of Cranberry Street! Hey Sasha, how's that carousel in your head? Is it late & you're still in bed? Oh Sasha cant u see, that u were meant4me, hey hey Sasha! ;-)

No tour or shows or anything...2bizzy preparing 4 an amtrak trip. With emphasis on the "rip". The cost is so far out of line with the product/service. Obscene really.
Why cant we have excellent train service like in the EU? Now THAT's train service. One of my best touring times was taking the super-fast train from UK to France and back, with bandmates and tour manager,Terry Razor...I remember sitting in my seat, spying on him reading his newspaper in the sun, which was coming in his window at a particular angle. He had booked rooms4 us at a farm/villa-kinda place in the country, with animals outside and marble floors inside. Posh. Our bandmates didnt like it tho because there was nothing to do there. In other words, no girls. No alcohol. What the hell kind of tour is this, they were wondering. Ha ha.

So there's your tour story 4 2day. Sure it happened 10 years ago...u gotta problem with that? :-) x0x0 Posted by Picasa

bachelor #1

Ladies ladies ladies, i want2look up your dresses. My daughter will be graduating from high school next week, which means i'm gonna have alotta free time on my hands(all over your body). U can contact me here at the blog...and speaking of blogs, i'll turn this blog back over to Angel now.

Hi freaks, Angel here. Wow, who was THAT?

Anyway, 2day it's raining in sam framcisco, which is unusual. But enough about MY weather. How is YOUR weather? Gee it's not very exciting 2write about the weather in your blog. Hmmm, let's see. Well, one cute thing i've noticed is people sharing their ipod headphones. U know, one person gets one earphone and the other person gets the other earphone. I first noticed it happening with high school girls, but now i see all kinds of ppl doing it. Hmmm, let's see. That wasnt 2exciting either. Uh, did u read about those caffeine pantyhose? I'm not making it up, google and see4yerself. Hmmm, i guess the one thing we arent discussing is shows/tours. WELL OBVIOUSLY I DONT HAVE ANY, NOW DO I?! 2busy doing fuck-all. x0x0 Posted by Picasa

walkin' in north beach

Had a great north beach outing. Started at this bakery...ate some delicious pizza bread with tomato slices, oregano and lemon.

Then on to City Lights bookstore. Upstairs on the poetry floor, (yes, a whole floor devoted2poetry), there is an old wooden table with 2 mis-matched old wooden chairs, and a sign, written in pencil on a paper bag...SIT DOWN AND READ. While i was standing there being overwhelmed by the vibe that is city lights,a little elf-door opened, and Ferlinghetti walked into the room! It was like a magic trick, b/c the door is so small and he's kinda burly. And above the door was a poster for one of his books, I AM THE DOOR. Trippy.

Walked back up the hill to Coit Tower. Actually went inside for the first time, it is amazing in there. The walls are covered in murals. In the gift shop, i looked for one of those little license plates with the name SASHA printed on it, but, nope, none there.

So, no tour or shows or anything...2busy walking around aimlessly in north beach. Ciao yall. Posted by Picasa
