i save worms

1/2 hour bike ride to Mill Valley, lock bike near the library, walk up the Dipsea steps and on up Panoramic Hwy to 4 Corners. Walk back down, a 1.5 hr. round trip walk. Trip walk, what's that? Dont know but i like it. Came thisclose to a little deer, I could have reached out and touched it. Can never remember.. when sharing space with wildlife, r u supposed to back away, or dont turn your back? And do we look at them, or make no eye contact at all?
A man was jogging down the steps but stopped to pick up a worm. He deposited it eversogently into the greenery and said "I save worms."
1/2 hr. bike ride back. And how YOU doin'?
