Back from another drive 2 sausalito where we had 2 see a man about a house(boat). The owner's a cellist, and when he showed us the master bedroom, he pointed to the(water)bed, where his cello was covered with a quilt, its neck and head resting on a pillow. Is it just me or is it kinda weird 2 have a waterbed on a houseboat?
It was a total '70s houseboat. Low-slung white leather sofas. Think Halston. The master bathroom featured a glassed-in steamroom with bose speakers. The owner's a v. cool guy, kinda looks a little like roman polanski. Scroll down to "Largo". We really enjoyed meeting him. When we arrived, he was having a glass of white wine. His socks were black with large white polka dots.

I'd planned to make mulligatawny for our anniversary dinner. BUT, instead of adding 2 tblspns of flour, i accidentally used psyllium husks. The broth kept getting thicker and thicker, finally turning into an extremely gooey substance that looked like some NASA-developed substance. I had to throw it all out.
In the middle of the night i realized my mistake. I made another batch 2day and it turned out perfectly. Another near-disaster averted in the stimboleum.

So, the Bay to Breakers race is over. Or, make that "hung" over. I walked down 2 the beach 2 check it out and was amazed by how many drunk ppl i saw, and how very very drunk they were. I dont understand the desire 2 get that drunk. I mean, is it just me, or are drunk ppl not cute? So many of them had fallen and couldnt get up. A Kenyan won the race, i wonder if he ran barefoot.
I saw alot of funny things, and by far the funniest was a girl who had a long brown messy wig TIED IN A PONYTAIL, coming out of the waistband of her cut-offs. Can u picture it? I saw her from a distance coming toward me and i knew something looked pretty weird then when she got closer 2 me, i got a good look. God it was strange and i laughed out loud.
My friend Dale(he's the one on the right) saw some guys wearing nothing but jockstraps and unicorn horns. Say that really fast: jockstraps and unicorn horns jockstraps and unicorn horns.

how do u solve a problem like chermoya?

Hello.
So yeah, finally ate my first chermoya. Think of it as a less acidic, gentler kiwi, that's creamy and white on the inside. (ooooh.-ed). It was delicious, but that face was slightly disturbing to eat.
Went to the warhol exhibit at the de young. It wasnt all that as far as being an exhibit goes, and i love warhol. (p.s. i remember the day he died. Howard Thompson was visiting A and R, and when i returned 2 the Stimboleum after roller skating on the Ocean Beach bikepath, HT told me the sad news. I'll always remember the way the sunlight was coming in the dining room at that moment). Ennnyway, the show is more about being a successful marketing tool for the warhol store that accompanies the exhibit. 4 the Stimboleum, i chose these.
