R gave a brilliant talk to a packed house at the Sunnyvale Library last night. Kate, the librarian told me before the talk that she was "so excited to meet a celebrity" and afterwards she pronounced Rich "phenomenal". As usual, he got quite a few laffs and as usual, he didnt hear them, i always tell him afterwards what happened. 
One huge laff was for his comment that it was a "miracle" that Microsoft won a lawsuit over their use of 'Word'.  And when he brought up a shot of the first iPod and said "remember this?", that got another huge laff.   All the laffs were egghead laffs like that, it was pretty cute what this crowd thought was funny.
