moondog slept here

I had a room-mate in Bloomington who worked for CBS, and one of his jobs was to accompany the CBS acts while they were in town. One of these acts was Moondog, who, although brilliant, was very smelly.
I was visiting in Michigan during M-Dog's Bloomington shows so to cut down on tour expenses, without asking me, the room-mate invited M-Dog to sleep in my vacant bed.
I thought i smelled something "funny" when i returned to the apartment, but couldnt locate the source.
Took me shower, pulled back me bed covers, and saw that there was a crusty pile of dirt on me sheet and the smell that came wafting up was, well, awful.
The room-mate was totally unapologetic, he didnt see it as a problem. Sheesh.

Arugula, kumquats, fuji apple, tofu, avocado, olive oil and vinegar. Beats pancakes.
And speaking of champions, R had a dream last night about a song titled "If Your Dealer Had a Theme Song It Would Sound Like This."
And speaking of other champs, ACC had a dream last night that UKnowWho was singing a song just for her, and the hook was "U were my playmate, u gave me Italian ice cones." (some hook. -Ed.)
Then ACC and R woke up.

And speaking of things that r away, i wish indoor roller rinks would make a comeback. Dont u too, really? Just 4 the trippy sound quality inside them if nothing else.

Raining! Thank God 4 the rain which clears out the smoke from all the wood-burning fireplaces around here,  smoke that dangerously pollutes the air.  Yesterday was the first clean-air day we've had since Thanksgiving. It felt freeing and fantastic to be able to go running in fresh air again.

who is howard dean?

Watched IDES OF MARCH last evening. The movie's writer worked as a volunteer on various political campaigns, including Howard Dean's presidential campaign in 2004. I dont really know 2much about Howard Dean so after the movie R asked Siri "Who is Howard Dean?" Siri answered, "You. Have. No. Contacts. For. Howard. Dean. Did. You. Mean. Howard. Thompson. Or. Dean. Wareham?" Needless 2 say we cracked the fuckup.
And speaking of R, he's been taking driving lessons from yours truly. As Craig Leon would say, "That's our big event."

Had a dream that ACC and HT were on a top-secret assignment to photograph Lou Reed's black glittery bathroom. But it was too dark in there to get any good pix, hence this facsimile. It was more glam than the pic above, everything was all glittery and sparkly and there were no white fixtures--everything was black.
We were speechless. Then ACC woke up.

Dunno about u but i sometimes balk at buying yogurt because of the plastic packaging. Yes the containers r marked for recycling, but still, plastic is plastic. Then along comes the made in USA bpa-free Preserve toothbrush. Made from recycled yogurt containers, the toothbrush is packaged in a postage-paid mailer for the customer to use to return the used toofiebrush to Preserve, and it's recycled from there.
I have a fear of being faced with everything i've thrown away or "recycled" in my life. I dont want that pile to be as big as, well, as big the great outdoors. It can be hard being married to an environmentalist. Ask R.

Spent some time at Ocean Beach today. There were alot of surfers, conditions were perfect. Sometimes i really miss living there. Looks like they love it there too. They're on the path in the dunes (2 blocks from A and R's old house on Anza Street) that leads down to the beach and the Great Highway. Here's what the Great Hwy looks like in the windy season which is kind of year-round. When the sand takes over the Hwy is closed to traffic and u can do this.
Everything west of 40th Avenue, and south and north of Point Lobos is so wide open with absolutely unlimited views and the air is clean and invigorating.
Oh. Almost 4got 2 recommend CONTROL. Pretty damn good. And pretty damn sad. A and R woke up sad the morning after watching it.
