my new hat visits fort mason and the community gardens
And my new hat CANNOT WAIT to see this. U hear me? CANNNOT WAIT. I saw the movie so many times when it came out that i ended up memorizing every line of dialog.
"They're my girls, i'm goin' back in deh."
"Sal, Wyoming...it's not a country."
"You got kids?" Yeah, I got kids and I'd like to see them again." "You'll see them, I got no complaints against you whatso-ever. You wont fuck wit me, will ya?"
"Leon, did they give u a shot at the hospital?" "Yeah, what they shot me with was like unreal."
"Why rob a bank when you've got a sucker for a mother?"
"I bark. U see this man here? He bites."
Not all moviegoers appreciated when i would talk along with the characters but i felt compelled. I wouldnt do that today tho;I'd like to think i'm more considerate now than i was then.
But! At home, like right this minute, i can yell as loudly as i want to: SONNY ALL THE WAY! HEY! SONNY ALL THE WAY!
Still no tour or shows or anything...2busy shape-shifting.

show me yours
It feels kind of sneaky to "go" inside other ppl's dwellings. This place is on a neighboring dock; the editors at NON TOUR DIARY have a full view of the south and west sides of it, which glow golden yellow at sunset. The above pic shows the dock which is totally different than all the other docks. First of all, the part u walk on is not wood, but a fire-safe material, which makes sense, right? And the plants and olive trees have been placed on the outside of the railings rather than on the dock itself. It's a streamlined look, not shmegeggy like the other docks. The lighting is better too, recessed underneath the top railing and goes the whole length of the dock so u dont have these pools of light surrounded by darkness, which isnt that helpful at night.

the sun is still sunny
Hello everyone. Yup, still got the Stones on repeat all night long and now they r even creeping into my daylight hours. Not sure where all this Stonesmania is leading, if anywhere. Kinda hard2beat Bossa 'n Stones for covers with vocals so perhaps another Accordion Pop?
On a completely unrelated note, shouldnt this read "fewer" rather than "less"?
Still no tour or shows or anything...2busy licking it up.

their eyes are blue
Saw the seriously good Dean Wareham show at the Chapel on Friday night. It appeared to be sold out and not one audience member left b4 the show was over.
There's a new drummer in the band, i liked his playing alot. It's difficult to lose drummers and audition new ones, it can put your band behind the 8ball for awhile but i had no complaints against this guy whatsoever and he was interesting to watch too, using mallets and brushes as well as sticks.
The words that come to mind as i'm trying to describe the band's performance: 'deep' and 'personal'. Beautiful gorgeous singing by Dean and Britta, with more singing by Jason Quever, who doubled up on Dean's lead vocals. So good.
I felt like i was witnessing something, something important about how the years of dedication and perseverance have led to the deepness i was feeling, but u should read this instead of listening to my mumbly incoherence.
Tomorrow: More on blueberries!

Took these slapdash pix onthefly while dockwalking yesterday, just walking along and snapping willynilly.

it's just my (still) life
Still listening to the Stones under my pillow every night and finally heard Beast of Burden after weeks of listening. Have also begun the Mick Jagger book; the author is very funny. Hey I just thought of a new word: Britchy. The author is funny in that bitchy British way the Englishters have about them. And, nothing to do with the Stones, but dont4get about the Fri the 13th full moon tonite.

hi ange, whatr u doin'? oh, just hanging out with keith backstage after the show
Had a dream that at a Stones' show an all-access pass got me into Keith's private area, er, that is, dressing room, Keith had taken off his shirt and was standing there smiling at me. I was blathering and babbling and blabbleing jeez i couldnt shut up about how much fun i had at the show. The dream didnt include any concert scenes but i knew that i had just seen the best Stones show ever. And Keith just kept looking down at me, smiling, then ACC woke up.

antlers in the tree-tops by who goosed the moose
Remember silly fake book titles like that? There were a bunch of them, like in grade school or something but the only other one i recall is 'How i won the war, by General Confusion.'
And speaking of silly book titles, this is the audiobook i'm listening to. Funny, well-written and narrated by the author.
And here r a buncha photos from A&R's recent shorty vacay in Mendocino. Gosh it is extraordinarily beautiful there. Positive and uplifting. Those watertowers.

as terry tolkin would say, THE SONG IN MY HEAD WHEN I WOKE UP THIS MORNING WAS:
Prime Mover. Arent i a littttle too old to still find this shite amusing? Evidently not as i've just sat here and watched the viddie not once but twice. The guitar sounds and drums still sound exciting. I saw Zodiac Mindwarp at the sweaty and smelly Stone in San Francisco where i was the only female in the audience. Too bad the book isnt available as an audiobook as i cant be arsed to read paper books anymore. Or even kindlebooks.
Anywayz, back from another short vacay in Mendocino, pix to follow.

cherry oh baby
Friday=a bike ride to the farmers' market in Mill Valley. These cherries were grown at the evocatively-named Hidden Star Orchards.
And still got the Stones under my pillow at night, as well as listening to Lisa Robinson's book during waking hours. I seem to never tire of these music biz books. Next up will be Mick Jagger by Philip Norman and after that Christopher Ciccone's book.

and i look on this as a blissful moment to fly into the sun
Yesterday the sun was shining selectively (or should 'selectively' come before 'shining'? Too lazy to google adverb placement). Big patches of intense sunlight kept appearing right next to unlit areas, like there was a giant-sized roving spotlight being operated.
Still no tour or shows or anything...2busy giffing. Suggestion: click the photo, today and every day please.

i'm no (catholic) schoolboy but i know what i like
Trying to emulate the photos of P Doddy, i took a buncha shots of this red dumpster out behind Heath Ceramics. Didnt Bresson say u should take only one shot per subject? I can never manage to do that.
Actually went to a party last nite, held in a huge ultra-beautiful house with a shiny black grand piano and lots of bedrooms and couches and dishes and chairs and tables and books and artwork and plants and packed with people. An Edwardian house, all the wood except for the floors had been painted an uplifting white that brightened things up and kept the house from feeling spooky. Sneaked out after 3 hours which i prefer over interrupting the hosts to say goodbye. Everything was very welcoming and gorgeous but back at home it felt refreshing to be surrounded by one table, one bed and nothing on the walls except two portholes.

lady of the house wonderin' when it's gonna stop
For the past 2 weeks ive kept the iphone under my pillow at night with the Stones playing. Every night.
I thought i knew what Charlie was doing on the songs all these years but boy was i wrong. I had no idea how many notes he plays on the bass drum. And the fills go by so fast i cant really tell what just happened.
It's awesome hearing Keith sing Happy under the pillow. The best voice in rocknroll ever.
Still dont like Satanic Majesty's tho.

Bruce Anderson's guitar and red Pendleton back onboard for a session recording more (yes more) MX80 songs. My favorite of the day was 'M'.
Some of the new songs r covers. And speaking of covers, did u know about this? Pretty good, right? And what about this one? It's ok, but the original is so touching. Still no tour or shows or anything...2busy being obsessed with this guy.
